Community Hackathon Management Workshop with Riyadh Municipality

In support of initiatives that strengthen community engagement and purposeful innovation, Rasi Consulting delivered a specialized workshop titled “Community Hackathon Management” in collaboration with Riyadh Municipality (Amanat Al Riyadh), as part of the #Idrak_Masooliah initiative. The workshop was delivered by Eng. Rayan Qurban.

The session focused on practical tools and proven approaches to design and run community hackathons end-to-end, including:

• Defining the purpose, theme, and expected outcomes
• Designing the participant journey—from outreach to final pitches
• Governance, roles, and committee structures for effective delivery
• Evaluation criteria and transparent judging mechanisms
• Facilitation methods that encourage collaboration and quality outputs
• Post-hackathon pathways: incubation, partnerships, and implementation planning
• Capturing impact and measuring what matters beyond the event itself
